A Pantry Garden is in the works

The Hunger Prevention Council has been hard at work planning a vegetable garden, which will grow veggies for the Pierce County Food Pantry, to launch in spring of 2021.

The garden has been marked out with string, behind the building where the Pierce County Food Pantry is located, and all the tools we need to get started have arrived!

To prepare for spring volunteers will be putting up a fence and preparing the area by getting rid of the grass currently growing there. Stay tuned for further updates!
